Technologies
The idea
medigital’s technological solutions for the healthcare industry include digital health applications (including DiGAs - digital health applications with extensive clinical evidence), applications for disease prevention, and companion apps.
Together with MEDICE's pharmaceutical products, these apps play a key role in supporting patients in nephrology, ADHD, female health, and gut health.
Challenge
Curiosum have been brought in to augment the client’s software engineering team to provide web and mobile development workforce, developing their products with Elixir (including Phoenix LiveView) and React Native.
Our developers have worked on both backend and frontend aspects of medigital’s mobile applications, including their integration with dedicated IoT companion devices using Bluetooth LE. Among others, we have helped the client’s team build and develop REST APIs, improve their custom content management systems (CMS) using Phoenix LiveView, Postgres and Supabase.
Requirement
MEDICE were looking for a technological partner whose specialty combines Elixir at the backend and React Native on the frontend, and we were able to match that profile perfectly.
Working closely with the client’s teams, our developers were required to adapt seamlessly to the client’s existing codebases and frameworks, but perhaps most importantly also their ways and processes of working. We worked closely with product owners, designers, mobile and IoT developers to deliver software that helps achieve therapeutic goals and improve patients’ health.
In all of this, we adhered to stringent security standards required in development of medical software for the European market, including the processing of medical and other sensitive data.
